Repair to replacement01 / Indoor pool dehumidification
We know
indoor pool climate.
Air temperature, pool-water temperature and relative humidity belong in the same conversation.
King Air services residential and commercial indoor pool systems, including Dectron Dry-O-Tron, Seresco and PoolPak equipment. Our family has maintained some of the same Dry-O-Tron systems for more than 30 years.
We consider how the dehumidifier, refrigeration circuit, heating, controls and air distribution work together. Our relationships with manufacturer representatives also support equipment-specific troubleshooting and repair planning.
Pool dehumidification can do more than remove moisture. Depending on the equipment configuration, heat recovered during dehumidification can be reused to heat the room air or pool water. The assessment considers these connections as well as humidity control.
Replacement is not always the answer. A consultation or service assessment can help establish whether repair, retrofit or replacement makes sense for your system.
Tell us about condensation, equipment alarms, unstable temperatures, humidity concerns or recurring service issues. We will use those details to focus the assessment.
When an existing unit can be economically repaired, that option can avoid unnecessary replacement expense. The condition of your equipment and the required work determine the recommendation.

One pool / One connected mechanical system
The dehumidifier
doesn’t work alone.
Comfort and moisture control depend on multiple systems working together. A symptom in the pool room may begin somewhere else in the mechanical system.
Moisture removal
The core system manages humidity created by evaporation and helps protect the building from condensation.
Supply & return airflow
Ductwork must move conditioned air to the right places, including vulnerable glazing and exterior surfaces.
Water temperature
Pool-water temperature affects evaporation load and may be connected to recovered heat, a boiler or other heating equipment.
Air temperature & boilers
Room heating, hydronics and dehumidification need to support each other rather than operate as unrelated systems.
Compressors & heat transfer
The refrigeration circuit removes moisture and can recover heat depending on the equipment configuration.
Sensors & sequences
Humidity, temperature and equipment controls determine when each part of the system operates and how they interact.
That is why King Air looks beyond a single component when diagnosing condensation, uncomfortable conditions or recurring equipment failures.
Repair or replace?
Before committing to a full dehumidifier replacement, assess the condition of the equipment and the surrounding system.
